I purchased the American Apparel Women's Fine Jersey Classic T-Shirt in the color red for myself. The shirt is 100 percent cotton and is thick, and well-made. It is not sheer. There were no loose seams, and no hanging threads. Let me state clearly --- this an American cut and the shirt is American made. I am tall and long-waisted, so I have been frustrated at times when ordering clothes online at amazon, only to discover the sizing is Chinese and proportioned for very petite, much shorter body types. This is not Asian cut I ordered up one size based on other reviews and the fact that I wanted a looser fit. I'd say it runs a little small, but not extremely. I could have worn my regular size probably but wanted the looseness for comfort. However, I am deducting one star because the seller photo on Amazon makes the shirt look more fitted than it is. It has a straight, boxy shape, and does not look tapered as the picture suggests. I don't mind the room, but that straight cut is not flattering on many body types so the cut does matter. It's not tapered or "slim fit". It's boxy. The red color is a bright pure red, which is very nice. It's a good basic tee shirt, well made, and a decent price for the thick material and solid construction. I can't say that I love it, but I definitely like it and will wear it often probably because it's comfortable and practical. Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase.This is your old school boxy tshirt. There's nothing particularly flattering about it, but if you want an AA basic shirt, it's going to fit that bill. I bought it for a work shirt, so it wasn't really interested in it being flattering, just functional. The arm holes were a bit on the small side, so I just stretched them a bit. I'm not sure I'd buy it again because it's a bit too boxy for me, but it is a quality, basic shirt made by a good company.Shirt is soft and fits accordingly to the size. In addition, it's just slightly transparent instead of being a solid, stark white, which I actually really like for my white t shirts. Only thing I don't love is how the capped sleeves are tight around the underarm area. I'm thinking the more I wear the shirt, the more it'll sort of expand. Besides, that it fits great in the chest area.I mean the color is more vibrant pink than I expected, I was hoping more of a grey tone pink. And I don't know maybe I'm just too fat, the shoulder and neck part was a little tight for me at the beginning. Should buy a size down. I was initially happy with it but after wearing maybe ten times it has developed one small hole above my navel, common in cheap cotton t-shirts. The cut is slightly larger than described and appears somewhat baggy. I purchased several others in different colors and the sizing and color isn't consistent whatsoever. The black shirts vary in shades and the gray isn't as depicted.It is a good plain blue shirt, a nice color and the medium fit me fine. I'm 5'6, 128 lbs. the material was a tad thin, but overall it's a nice shirt.Exactly what I wanted! Higher neck, short but not cap sleeves, not too long or short in the body (I'm 5'7"), not too loose or too tight (wear a lg-xlg, 12-14, bought an xlg), pretty pink color, not too expensive (paid $18) and made in the USA❣Purchased the red one, also, (no orange tint in it) and really like it! Only paid $8.70 for a well made, 100% cotton tee, made in the US!!!!Got both a medium and small and went with a medium because it was not as tight. I have 36 bust. Great shirt though, very soft. I use them to put transfers onto.
