These leggings fit me very comfortably. I am tall, 5'9" and ordered XL. I prefer American Apparel because the product works for me and they have a long standing reputation for treating workers respectfully. I bought my first pair of AA leggings in a store in Vancouver many years ago and was very happy to find I can order them through amazon now as the store is no longer there.Living Behind The Redwood Curtain...where UPS and FexEx are unreliable...to have this seller ship through the Post Office is Wonderful...the mail carrier comes out to the mountains everyday... so hurray!The legging are much nicer than I even expected. I did read reviews...and its true...they are a decent weigh...not see through wear once and throw away. Not too heavy...not to lightweight...just right.I given them a full day of wearing test...but I am on it...I expect I will be coming back again-Altho the description says 5% spandex, the tag says 8% spandex. Because it is more synthetic, it doesn't breathe as well and feels hot. Also I am 5'5" and they are too long by about 2 inches.It's wearable but the fitting is sort of odd. It is lacking in the stretch so getting it on took a minute but once it's on, it's fine. I figure with several wears, it'll stretch out a little.I was skeptical to buy these leggings since American apparel has changed so much. But they seem to fit without sliding down and haven’t started pilling yet so I think it was a good buy for the priceI've been looking everywhere for the perfect leggings. I'd been lazily buying several $10 pairs from Target or cheaply on Amazon for years and just dealt with it when they ripped at the seams and bought a new replacement pair. Well, this year I'd had enough of those leggings that ripped, stretched and lost their elasticity after one wash or a couple of wears. They *looked* cheap. They didn't retain warmth, stand up to chub rub (I wear an XL) or feel comfortable around the waist band.I looked extensively for a pair that retained their stretch, kept me warm, stayed up without constant pulling, and could stand up to plus size chub rub in the thighs. I bought at least five pairs to test, both on and offline. This pair is my favortie, barring one other I'll mention later. American Apparel has tons of color options, and I am not only comfortable but CONFIDENT wearing these with a tunic or dress. They don't get baggy, they stay up without a lot of adjusting, and they keep me warm.The only pair I found that compares is Moon Tree Cotton Spandex Jersey Legging which has all of the attributes listed above, but is a little looser right at the ankle, which I love. It's a tiny, intentional flare just at the bottom so it doesn't squeeze uncomfortably.I know both of these cost a bit more but trust me, you won't be replacing them for awhile. I'll be updating as I think of it in the future. I assume that'll be often as these leggings are now a staple of my wardrobe!I love these leggings! I am pear shaped and they fit really nicely. Very stretchy while also not needing to be pulled up often. Nice and light fabric- great for Texas where it’s always hot! However you can pretty much see my undies no matter what- so I have to wear them with dresses.I have worn these for years and was thrilled to find them on Amazon. They wash like a dream, never go out of shape or fade. The best leggings on the marketThis is my second pair. Rather disappointed as leg seams not straight. Is there anything I can do without having to pay postage and packaging to return them. Btw I have no printer. The first pair were brilliant.I bought these leggings in navy having done quite a lot of looking ( Fatface/Whitestuff/M&S etc) and I am really pleased with them - the fit is god and they are clearly good quality thickish lycra - but not so thick that you coud only wear them in winter - medium quality thickness for all seasons - highly recommended.My head are great leggings - warm and don't bag at the knees. They are thinner than they uset to be but great for wearing with jumper dresses etc. I won't wear with a crop top as your underwear will be slightly visible to those with reasonable vision!Lovely comfortable fit, very versatile - dress them up with blouses, fancy tops etc., dress them down with comfy t-shirts, tops, sweatshirts & jumpers. Love these!
