This feels like the one that got away. I personally love this tshirt on my son. The only issue is that I purchased it for my son (215lbs, 6ft 2", broad shoulders and narrow waist) and he found it uncomfortable across the shoulders, with a restricting feeling. To clear up any doubts, I compared it with his regular brand. He wears Dickies brand 2XL which is more 'roomy' and has a different cut compared with this American Apparel tshirt. When the two tshirts are placed on each other, there is are some significant differences: Although the neckline to shoulders are about the same, the sleeves of this tshirt is much longer and tapered to narrow along the length of the sleeves. This would cause the tshirt to feel a little tighter along the back of the shoulders. This 2XL AA tshirt is significantly longer than Dickies 2XL. It's a great length that I wish more tshirts would have for someone over 6ft. It is also slimmer on the waist so the tshirt is not box-shaped or straight cut. This was my reason to shop for a tshirt that doesn't look like my son is wearing a bag. Not everyone who wears 2XL has a large waistline so the search continues and I hope at some point there will be athletic fit tshirts for 2XL.The fabric is thick but not thick that it is too hot. It is definitely thicker than most tshirts, about as much or very slightly (if at all thin) as Dickies. It felt a little rough to the touch, not the soft smooth cotton but it could soften up after the first wash so I am not sure as I didn't wash the tshirt.Other than the cons, this is one of the best tshirts he has tried on and it looked really good on him.
