I've owned other American Apparel hoodies in the past, but the sizing never seemed to be very consistent; one x-small hoodie was larger than another x-small of the same model. So, I left AA hoodies alone. After many years of mostly buying the hoodies you can find at a certain department store for about 10 bucks, I decided to give AA another try.When I received this hoodie, I immediately noticed how friggin' soft it is! I would sleep on this! The fabric is somewhat thick, which means it does well during the fall months and is perfect for winter layering; but it's not too thick for spring and generally cool environments. I bought an XS in black and, as a 5'3" (~162 cm), muscular-armed person, there is still room beneath to fit a sweatshirt or sweater and not feel crowded.The only issue I've had with this hoodie so far -- and it's an issue I've noticed with their other hoodies as well -- is with the stitching on the pockets. It doesn't seem to take much force to pull the stitching at the bottom outside edge of the pocket loose, causing it to flap a bit. It hasn't detached so much that I can no longer use it, but it is annoying.Overall, with the one reservation in mind, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase more in other colors. Maybe I'll sew them all together and make the hoodie blanket I've been dreaming of.
