good material, nice finishing, overall good qualityI'm a welder, so my shirts are subjected to sparks, intense UV light, and get snagged on sharp corners a lot. Cheap shirts are a waste of money, as they always tear easily, and quickly deteriorate, become thin, and fray. These Key Apparel shirts have been my exclusive work shirt for about a year now, and have held up almost as well as Carhartt at half the price. They're made from a rather heavyweight denim, with excellent quality stitching throughout. The material strikes a good balance between toughness/wear resistance and softness/comfort, but leans in the direction of toughness/wear resistance. The buttons are securely sewn, and I've yet to have one come off. The button-down collar is a nice touch, as is the pencil pocket in the corner of the left chest pocket. Simply put, this is a well made shirt, especially for the price. They definitely exceed the quality of other shirts in their price range that I've seen.I have only two minor complaints about this shirt, neither of which is actually a defect. One, the dye does seem to fade somewhat faster from washing than some brands do, but also slower than some others. Two, they are very difficult to iron due to the thick denim material, which is to be expected.I bought the large and medium tall. The large is more like an extra large and the medium is more like a large. I'm 6'2" and the tall is a bit longer than usual. The Dickie's brand were shorter. I tried washing to shrink them a little. If they shrunk at all I can't tell. I'll give them a month or two to see how they wear. So far so good.I ordered two of these sequentially. I liked the first one, classic design, reasonably well made for the price, and perfect fit, medium tall. The second one was similar but had loose threads around the collar and button holes which were not as well finished and just very slightly larger than the first. Was also missing the unobtrusive Brand label on the side of the left shirt pocket. Not screwed up enough to return for the price. Overall, I'd say it's good value, these days, for the money but it will be random as to what kind of finish one gets. Considering that I've had multiple problems with such things from LLBean also, I guess that's just the way it is without direct US supervision and quality control of manufacturing. However, these are literally one quarter to one third the price of similar American branded shirts that there's no guarantee are any better quality. Our son bought a Key shirt like this one from a farm store in a Big & Tall Large and it was huge on him so I ordered a Big & Tall Medium for him online... but that one is a bit tight (both were 100% cotton which works for his welding class requirements). So... for this shirt, it looks like you need to go ahead and order your true size. I am hoping for better luck next time. Thanks.Left pocket partially sewn shut, right pocket the way it should be. Collar has a tiny button at each tip, doesnt belong on this type of shirt. Nothing else to report after 1 week of ownership. After trying several different shirts for work, including Carhartt and Riggs, I found these and never looked back. I've bought 6 of them now (3 for work, 3 for home) and wear them all the time. They have a nice feel to them, heavy, but not too stiff and not too hot. A very comfortable shirt. My work environment is pretty hard on shirts. My first Key work shirt just ripped at the elbow last week. I looked back and I ordered that shirt in spring 2013. I think they also look good. Some denim work shirts look kind goofy IMO, and I'd hesitate to wear them outside of work, but I feel stylish when I throw one on, unbuttoned, over a t-shirt.I like them so much I swear I might just order like 10 of them in case something happens and I can't get them in the future.I am retired and enjoy working with wood and home projects. This shirt was a pleasant surprise in regard to the quality of the material and the accuracy of the fit. There were a few loose threads that I had to cut off, but no loose seams so far. One thing buyers should know is that this shirt needs to be ironed after washing. That is a bit of a lost art around our house, but if you don't want to look like you slept in your clothes, the shirt has to be pressed. It is a little pricey but isn't everything nowadays. Just the cost of looking like Leno !!This is the second one of these I have bought. The denim is nice and soft. I bought it to wear as a workshirt. I am a gardener. Being denim it eventually fades in sunlight the longer you wear it but I like that look. I got several compliments when I wore it for the first time.Maybe because everyone was so used to the faded one.Good quality, medium weight, denim and well made. 2XLT is large enough to put a t shirt under. It does shrink slightly (or tighten up) after a wash. I'm 6' 4", 285 lbs and the 2XLT is a relaxed fit, just the way I like it.Also bought a XLT thinking one size down would be more like a true 2XT, however the XLT is a much smaller, more like a true XL fit.The tall body and long sleeves are noticeable and fit my 35/36" sleeve.Good quality at this price is hard to find. I'm buying another 2XLT while they are available.Made very heavy duty. This is a jean shirt that will last for years and will just get better looking as it fades. Made on the large side, so you might want to buy a size down from what you normally would. Surprisingly high quality for the price. I will buy more. This was a nice shirt but a bit large. My hubby has long arms so I thought a big and tall might be better for him. It was way too big, fit like a tent lolHe fit the x-large regular one.I'm 6'4" and have such a hard time finding shirts that fit properly. This shirt is comfy, durable, and has nice large pockets. It fits a little big, but that's OK by me. I will definitely buy another.
