Fit- Usually I'm a Large or XL size shirt, but most XL shirts are too large for me. This chef coat in a Medium size fits me perfectly and might fit just a little bit bigger guy than me. If you're on the large side of XL, then go for the Large size coat. For a 6'1" guy at 220 lbs, the coat isn't too long and fits me well. I wish the smaller of the two pen pockets was just a little bit wider. With that said, the pockets are deep enough to hold a thermometer perfectly and I like that. Many companies offer pen pockets that are too short and the thermometer sticks out of your arm pocket.Finish - Decent breathable fabric that's not stiff at all. Ordered the grey color, and it's a decent darker grey that looks pretty decent. Buttons are well built and easy to put on as well. Overall pretty well built.Overall, I'm satisfied with this jacket. It's light weight and very comfortable. I only have 2 suggestions for improvement.1) Move the pen/thermometer pockets slightly forward on the left sleeve, I really have to stretch to reach them with my right arm and my arms are pretty long for my build.2) Reinforce the button eye stitching. From the beginning I was tearing thread to push to button in or out of the eyelets.Otherwise, a nice, comfortable jacket at a very reasonable price.I should have paid attention to the reviews about the size of the jackets. I usually wear a large or extra large size, so ordered the large. It was far too big for me, but a friend of mine tried it on and it fit her perfectly. She bought it from me,and I ordered a Medium size for myself, which arrived today. The medium fits perfectly. We both like the jackets, and look forward to wearing them in our work. They are lightweight, and should be comfortable to wear in the kitchen.I really love these chef coats! I originally bought one as a "test fit" about a year and a half ago, liked it and got 5 more (I work six days a week).I have been wearing them constantly working in the kitchen for that year and a half and they have all held up fantastically well! Still look good and no wear and tear issues. Just washed in regular load with regular detergent and they come clean very well. The charcoal grey color is very good at "hiding" the grease spots and food spatters that are inevitable when working hands on for 12+ hours a day with food.I am a professional chef. This is exactly what I've needed for summer and hot work areas. The material is thin and breathes well. I bought the dark granite color as a trial jacket and now plan to buy more. As with most chef coats in the industry that are not fitted, these production coats run large by one size. The medium fits (perfect "large" for all intents) better than I had anticipated. The coat length was not the typically sloppy draped length well past the hips. For the decent price and good fit, I definetly recommend this product.Well, the quality of the coat is great. I just got mine in the mail today, the package was a bit strange though it was covered with a brown stain. I opened up the envelop and was welcomed with the huge scent of soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce it was definitely pungent. I take the coat out of the plastic cover and it was drenched with what ever this stuff was. I'll give it a good wash, just hope the stain that's on the chest of it comes out. I would order another one though. It fits really well.Great coat, I used to exclusively use Chef Wear all the time, but that was pretty expensive unless you got lucky with a sale or something, so I then had switched to Happy Chef, which for the price were really nice coats. Again though unless you stumbled upon a sale they were slightly and I mean just a tad pricier than these (these have free shipping those do not). So I thought I'd give these a shot ordered two different colors and they are both awesome. Fit good, I'm a tall guy and since they didn't have tall versions I just upped my size to a 2xl and it ended up perfect.I am female and bought this. Love the color (red). I have received alot of complements. My only complaint is that it is tight in the shoulders. I don't know if that is unique to me because I do have what I like to say "linebacker" shoulder and not many fashionable women's tops don't fit me right. Though I also bought a larger size for my boyfriend and he had the same issue. I got past mine but had to return his because every time he raised his hands his belly showed.Another kind of inconvenience is the pen/thermometer arm pocket sitting almost on the back side of my arms hard to get pens in and out
