UPDATED on December 17, 2018 **************I am still using/wearing this bib, and it is holding up great to wind, snow, rain, mud, etc., etc. ........any outdoor conditions you can imagine plus it keeps me warm. I originally gave this bib a 4 star rating so I am increasing my review to 5 stars now.Original Review Below**************I spent hours trying on Carhart, Dickies, and various other brands to find an insulated bib that would fit my female body-frame. There were many issues to contend with in finding a good fit for me. In the end, I tried on this insulated bib made by Key. I was shocked to find that the fabric felt the best, the insulation went through or up into the upper torso (some other brands did not), the torso length wasn't ridiculously long, the "regular" was a good fit in leg length, and the front zipper access on the Key brand is superior versus using side snaps/buttons (on other brands) to get into the bib. Plus, this Key bib has side-leg zippers that go clear up to the hip region making access for putting on tall lace up boots practical. I am anxious to see how this product holds up to my winter activities, as I will be putting it to the test in the mud, snow, rain, and in a ranch setting around horses/animals. Typically, I wear an insulated coverall about five or sometimes six months out of the year. Anyhow, if this bib does well through this winter, then I will increase my rating to 5 stars instead of 4 stars only.If anyone has questions regarding my subjective experience purchasing this bib, please feel free to ask me! Cheers!Key makes great work clothes. I have only been buying them a short time and getting the sizes right is the hard part. Totally their fault in my case simply a poor sizing system. The devil is in the details. The 275 does not have the double snaps on the hem. Heavy duty. 28" inseam. Half of shoulder strap is good elastic. Wire clip with button for shoulder closure not the twist and clip. Inside pocket. Snaps and zipper up leg. Front zipper. Great front pockets. Access to both your front pockets. The main difference in the 4x & 5x fit is in the middle. The 5x will stand another 80lb.I bought the freezer wear bibbs from them in 3xl and they fit like the 4xl in the 276 bibbs. How do you know what to order? I wrote them an email and asked the inseam with the "r" (30) and the "s" (28). Not so here the R was 28 in the 5x.He enjoys them keep him warm and in construction comfort matters. He loves that he’s not freezing in the winter mush mess anymore. In Atlanta our winters in general are light this year outside constructions been harder than usual these helped! Update a little over an year and we don’t get a long window. Of cold weather and the overall snap for the strap has came off- that is not good-so called key the manufacturer and they replaced the hardware free of charge and said they would for as long as the bibs allowed it!!! Best guarantee ever-btw no money was sent to them for the hardware they really replace it!!!I’m not that tall, 5’9” and the pant length is too short. Overall I like them for working in during cold weather.I ordered the large short, my pants inseam is 34 and was hoping to get a shorter leg on the bibs as I have "chore boots". The barnyard "cow-mud" is not good for your pant legs if you know what I mean. They are a little shorter than my old pair, I would have liked them even a little more short, but I can live with that. The bibs are well made and seem to have sturdy zippers. The front zipper does like to hang up a little bit in the thick seam at the waist, but I know how to keep it working fine. The straps are nice and wide and seem quite sturdy, I have them as short as they will go, so the crotch area isn't so low as to be binding when you walk. Overall a good product.I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this pair of Key insulated bib overalls. I owned a pair of these insulated Key bibs for twenty years plus and they are still hanging in there, but decided it was time for a new pair. I thought I would give the "other" brand another try. I ordered them according to the recommendations and what I received was complete JUNK! Carhart's do NOT have a full zipper in the front making it difficult to put on / take off. The clasp at the top are CHEAP little metal unlike the Key brand which have sturdy metal buttons. The carhart's also were so far off from being the correct size - they were tight in the waist and way too long. I immediately shipped them back and ordered the Key brand.Haven’t had them very long so I can’t give a 5 star but they do seem to be durable so far, they feel comfortable and very warm for midwieght insulation although we haven’t had many days around freezing yet. I thought they were made in the USA but when they got here, they said made in China. That’s my fault for not checking deeper into the company because I really wanted American made.So excited to finally find a pair of bibs foe my 6’4 husband at a reasonable price. Chicago winters aren’t kind and need all the help and warmth we can get.Pros: I loved how comfortable and warm they are. If you are looking for very light duty overalls that you only use for 10 mins at a time. I am a large regular size. 200 pounds 6 ft tall, they fit perfect and I had room to move around and fit great under large work coats.Cons: I do very heavy work and work 10-14 hours a day, in winter I use a headlamp to finish up at night, if you are a carpenter doing any kind of framing or any kind of building with timbers then you would know approximately what kind of work that they go threw...The picture attached is after 2 days.... the buttons that hold the front bib broke under my coat left one first right one 2 hours later, they were not under any severe strain, I was walking with my tool belt with a 2 2x12 14ft long in my arm... very disappointed...Very nice overalls . Zipper did not last one month. This is second pair I have bought and zipper is not made for workwear. Both overalls the zipper went .First pair zipper broke àt 3 months and this pair the zipper broke within the first month. Will not buy again unless improved zipper is installed.I like them. Finally found a pair that does not need to be hemmed! Just picked them up at the post office today they seem to be very tough and well made. The only issue that I see are the two small zippers on the chest. The zipper needs to be larger or replaced with buttons or Velcro to close the pockets.Purchased these overalls in December. Loved them . However two months later and two zipper teeth have fallen off. rendering them useless to me. Note: I only wear them on weekends cutting a wood lot. So very disappointed. Now what will I do ?Great coveralls. Only downside was the zipper went after 1 month of wear.Needs to have a heavier zipper in the front.
