This feels like the one that got away. I personally love this tshirt on my son. The only issue is that I purchased it for my son (215lbs, 6ft 2", broad shoulders and narrow waist) and he found it uncomfortable across the shoulders, with a restricting feeling. To clear up any doubts, I compared it with his regular brand. He wears Dickies brand 2XL which is more 'roomy' and has a different cut compared with this American Apparel tshirt. When the two tshirts are placed on each other, there is are some significant differences: Although the neckline to shoulders are about the same, the sleeves of this tshirt is much longer and tapered to narrow along the length of the sleeves. This would cause the tshirt to feel a little tighter along the back of the shoulders. This 2XL AA tshirt is significantly longer than Dickies 2XL. It's a great length that I wish more tshirts would have for someone over 6ft. It is also slimmer on the waist so the tshirt is not box-shaped or straight cut. This was my reason to shop for a tshirt that doesn't look like my son is wearing a bag. Not everyone who wears 2XL has a large waistline so the search continues and I hope at some point there will be athletic fit tshirts for 2XL.The fabric is thick but not thick that it is too hot. It is definitely thicker than most tshirts, about as much or very slightly (if at all thin) as Dickies. It felt a little rough to the touch, not the soft smooth cotton but it could soften up after the first wash so I am not sure as I didn't wash the tshirt.Other than the cons, this is one of the best tshirts he has tried on and it looked really good on him. This is American Apparel's "tough" shirt which I'm not sure it lives up to. It's certainly thicker and heavier than the normal shirt, which makes it a bit warm for summer wear, but otherwise doesn't necessarily seem like it would hold up any better in harsh conditions. It's certainly nowhere near as comfy as the cotton and poly/cotton shirts which are by far my favorite of any manufacturer; this is almost (but not quite) scratchy against the skin. The thickness also makes the shirt hold its own shape a little too much giving it an odd look and feel through the shoulders and sleeves. The value is there, as it's roughly the same price as their other shirts, but I don't think I'll be getting another of these. I'd rather wear out a few extra of the regular AA shirts which just feel so much better.Little bit of a looser fit than the American Apparel 50/50 tee. Nice and heavy for a tee shirt. Quality is there. Washes well.Very comfortable shirt. Heavier fabric than I expected. Slimmer fitting than a 2X shirt should be. I guess American Apparel only makes shirts for skinny people.Everyone I knew who I know that worked with blank shirts swore by either Alstyle or American Apparel. I understand the hype now. It's really soft but still offers enough thickness to be durable.More on the athletic/skinny side with this one. Great shirt overall.I wanted a thiner shirt, but do like these !they fit great and they hold the color. i like the heavy weight more than the standard T, i dont feel like this will stretch out of shrink for that matterI wish the t-shirt I purchased was made with softer cotton. That would be more comfortable.AA make two fits of this top - the 'Hammer T' and the 'Box Hammer T'. I was wrongly sent the Box, which is a weird short, baggy shape. Not sure if that's the only version they have but worth asking before buying as the T in the picture is the 'Hammer T' and not the box.I have ordered a American Apparell shirt, I have received a no name shirt. This is fraud! Do not order
