This is a nice pair of fleece shorts for the most part, but you'll need to find other ways to carry your keys/wallet/phone/etc. The fit is true to size, with length a little above the knee for a person of average height. The shorts are very well constructed, with excellent sewing and strong seams throughout. The material is a medium-weight fleece that feels very soft and provides good warmth for a pair of shorts. A sturdy draw cord at the waist allows for a secure fit on any body type. The one thing about these shorts needing improvement is the size of the pockets. On my Medium pair, the pockets are both shallow and narrow, making them very cramped (even for hands). Maximum width of the pockets is about four inches, and their depth extends only three inches below the openings on the sides of the shorts. A small wallet barely fits, and any modern smartphone will have one corner sticking well out of the pocket. I'd even hesitate to put keys inside, because they'd easily fall out or bounce out given how shallow these pockets are.Overall, these are decent warm-up shorts as long as you don't plan to keep anything in the pockets. The other aspects of the shorts are just good enough to earn a four-star rating, but I'd recommend looking elsewhere if you need usable pockets. My husband is 5’7” and these shorts hit him right above the knee. The elastic waistband is stretchy and fits true to size. There are also working interior drawstrings should you need a tighter fit at the waist. There are two well sized side pockets and one fairly small logo on the bottom of one of the legs (the interior of the waistband’s also had logos but those are invisible when worn). The fabric content is 76% polyester 24% cotton. The interior fabric is a soft fleece, while the outer fabric is a soft cotton-feel sweatpants material. They are definitely for colder days or for warming up after swimming for example. The quality of workmanship is excellent with strong and even stitching. I washed them on cold cycle and tumbled dry on the lowest setting and there has been no shrinking but the outer fabric is already showing some pilling.I am 6ft, 165 lbs, and have a 31 inch waist. I am an in between sizes and sometimes have to go up or down a size. I went down a size with these and got a small, which I am glad because they fit pretty well. They are a little wide in the leg, but I also have a slim build so that is my experience with most shorts. I would say these barely qualify as mid length. They hit a couple inches above my knee, so if you are on the shorter side, they might hit you at the knee or below. In my opinion, the crotch seam could be moved up a bit to give a more modern look. These performed well after an initial wash and dry. I did not experience any color bleeding or shrinking. The material is like a sweatshirt so the inside of the shorts are very soft. However, everytime you wash it, it will begin to pill and not feel so soft anymore.Overall, these are soft and comfortable to wear out of the pool or around the house.I was hoping to use these as lounge shorts around the house but they are too heavy and inflexible for that. They do, however, make a decent workout short or gym short to wear casually around town. As I said, the material is on the heavier side and they are also a bit on the longer side for my liking, but the quality is good for what they are. If you are looking for longer and heavier styled gym shorts, these are for you. Recommend. These basic fleece shorts are made of 76% polyester and 24% cotton. They are soft on the outside. Fuzzy on the inside.I have the size Small. They measure 17.5” from the top to the bottom. The inseam measures 7”. 11” leg opening. The waist measures 29” before any stretch. Thick 1.75” elastic waistband. Inside drawstring. Medium depth “slice” side pockets. No back pocket. No fly. These shorts are Made in Vietnam. At the current price of thirty-five bucks, they are at least twenty bucks too high. . . but. . .you’re paying for the Speedo name. Overall I quite like them. These are a 'sweatpant' type materialbut the quality is just stellar! They are very heavy, with a high quality elastic band and high gauge stringThey have a nice printed (not stitched) speedo logoGreat for a quick warmup. They are a bit on the wide, or "baggy side"At 5'10, the Large size is well above my knee but they are still loose fittingGreat for throwing on quickly.I would't use them for exercise because of how heavy the material is, and how loose fitting, but they are perfect for quickly warming up and drying off! (think POST workout)Pros:Style, Weight, Material, Drawstring/Band, PocketsCons:PriceOverall, surely recommended!-I hope this review was helpful, if so please click the link below!Any questions please ask!Husband really likes these shorts. They are super soft and he likes the sweatpants type fabric that offers a little warmth during the winter. He said that the pockets are ample and the wide waistband is comfortable. The stitching is neat and well done and the elastic feels like its very good quality. Being 6'6" and at over 200+ lbs the XXL size is a perfect fit. RecommendedMy husband really likes these thermal shorts. They’re super soft and have a relaxed fit. The polyester/cotton blend washes well, and there is no shrinkage. They fit true to size and are a nice mid-length short. Perfect for casual wear.
